Where did the year go? Just two more months. Can you believe it? It’s been a beautiful fall in Missouri. Westland (Essie’s Roses Book 2) published in January, and I’m excited readers continue to find and enjoy my Essie’s Roses series–thanks to you!
Heartfelt thanks for your amazing support this year. With so many historical fiction reads published in 2022, I’m grateful you gave Essie’s Roses, Westland, and the updated edition of my novel Water Lily Dance your time and attention. And if you’ve added my novels to your TBR list, thank you! I hope you enjoy the escape. Don’t forget to leave your reviews! They are a tremendous help.
Thankful for You
Thank you for your continued support and encouragement as I navigate what’s next for my writing career. I just can’t stop thanking you because I know without you, there wouldn’t have been an Essie’s Roses sequel. Essie’s Roses book three? I’m excitedly writing and planning more stories, including those beyond Westland’s front porch. But I love hanging out with wise Delly sipping strawberry lemonade.
I’m taking a break pondering all and will keep you posted on what’s next for the women at Westland and beyond. I truly hope for another opportunity to provide a heartfelt historical escape for my readers. Stay tuned.

Fall’s Peace
Wishing you a fall season filled with a harvest full of fun, beauty, and peace. I have never been great at allowing myself time to rest. It’s time.
Nature, whether a secret garden, a forest cove, or the splendor of the colors of fall, fills my stories with the hope of new beginnings, dreaming again, and letting go. I know too well the challenges of letting go of stress during trying storms. But storms will pass. They can’t last forever.
If you’re walking through a difficult time, be encouraged and comforted in knowing that light is always around the corner. Sunny times are ahead. As Evie and Essie might say, we declare it to be so.
Give yourself the rest you need and enjoy the season . . . and a great book! Happy fall.
